The Pneuma Chronicles

Walking the Walk…….and the heart of the Father!

Two Fighting!

The Almighty does NOT take sides in the way we think or expect.

He simply IS WHO HE IS…..which means He comes to establish His will in any situation.

Joshua 5:

13 And it came to pass, when Joshua was by Jericho, that he lifted his eyes and looked, and behold, a Man stood opposite him with His sword drawn in His hand. And Joshua went to Him and said to Him, “Are You for us or for our adversaries?”

14 So He said, “No, but as Commander of the army of the Lord I have now come.”

There is so much i would like to say, but know this for a start: His perspective on things is often VERY DIVERGENT from ours.

In situations, even concerning people.

Sometimes He hands us a pair of binoculars to look.

Sometimes you have to ask for it.

All as HE chooses.

And sometimes, HE SHOWS YOU ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.

AND THAT TOO, IS ALSO HIS PREROGATIVE.

However.

In all of this, one thing i have learned in my little walk with Him;

You can never really judge a situation or as God sees, without the eyes of compassion.

And Love.

Never.

Its the reason the enemies you have been praying for to die, are still alive and bouncing.

We often forget that He died for THEM TOO.

He alone sees the entire picture. Imagine if He had whacked Paul instead?

Love.

Compassion.

There is a practical side to this.

Jesus the pattern Son only did whatever He saw His Father do.

Jesus whilst on earth was compassionate and loving.

YET, He only did what He saw the Father do.

No more, no less.

So how do you know how to navigate in a hazy situation? Or in a shake-up? You CANNOT KNOW BY YOURSELF.

He may choose to tell. He may not.

But He will guide you on how to navigate, if you ask.

There are many times a “yam-pepper-scatter-scatter” is 100% His handiwork.

There are many times it is not.

Look around you at the quarrels between nations. It might interest you that in a spiff between nations, He is not necessarily on the side of the one we see as the underdog.

Look at the bickering within the body of Christ. He is not always on the side of where we think He should be.

There are many things we see now, and many more to come, which will get christians defensive and expecting Him to take sides against our external accusers.

Many have inadvertently turned into “apologetics” for men, rather than apologetics for Jesus, in trying to preserve church image….

by flesh.

Sir, Ma’am?

Have a care, that you are not Uzzah-ing.

In the same vein, there are also things that will happen which will physically seem like it goes against the grain of present church tradition.

Sir, Ma’am?

Have a care, that you are not lending your tongue to the accuser of the brethren.

When unsure, best to be silent and face your market.

Ponder on this scripture:

“Are You for us or for our adversaries?”

14 So He said, “No, but as Commander of the army of the Lord I have now come.”

Glossary: “Yam-pepper-scatter-scatter” is a direct translation of “isu ata youn youn”, a yoruba idiomatic expression which means to “a messy situation.”
